FOX’s “Hells Kitchen” Returns Tonight
July 21, 2009 at 8:30 am , by TeVeGuy
Just a friendly reminder season 6 of FOX’s “Hells Kitchen” returns tonight with a 2 hour premiere. If you haven’t seen this show you have no clue what your missing. As entertaining as it is to watch how Gordon Ramsay molds these chefs by beating them down first it’s also great to see a great chef win a great prize.
“Futurama” to return without Original Voices!!!
July 18, 2009 at 10:01 am , by TeVeGuy
Awhile back I posted that Futurama would be back again, but this time on Comedy Central. According to Variety, Fox TV — which produces the show — has broken off talks with Futurama‘s original mouthpieces and has put out an open casting call in search of other actors to replace them. The issue is, of course, money. The new round of Futurama is scheduled to air on Comedy Central with a much lower budget than the original run (which aired on Fox), forcing Fox TV to cut costs where it can.
“We love the Futurama voice performers and absolutely wanted to use them, but unfortunately, we could not meet their salary demands,” 20th Century Fox TV said in a statement to Variety. “While replacing these talented actors will be difficult, the show must go on. We are confident that we will find terrific new performers to give voice to Matt (Groening) and David (X. Cohen)’s brilliantly subversive characters.”
It wouldn’t be the same without John DiMaggio doing benders voice, or Katey Sagal doing Leela’s voice. Changing The way Bender sounds would ruin the comeback.
Varietysays the cast members were asking for $75,000 per episode — more than $300,000 less than what The Simpsons Cast Makes. However, we’re hoping that Fox is just playing hardball, and — fingers crossed — a deal will be reached.

Actress “Mischa Barton” Involuntary psychiatric hold?
July 16, 2009 at 5:12 pm , by TeVeGuy
The Los Angeles Police Department has put Mischa Barton
(FOX’s “The OC”) under Involuntary psychiatric hold just like they did for Britney Spears. Mischa was transferred to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Wednesday evening. According to Access Hollywood who broke the story authorities had responded to the Los Angeles home of the starlet after receiving a non-911 call from her residence around 3 PM. A patrol car responded to the scene and began assisting Barton with a medical issue. Under Section 5150 of the California Welfare and Institutions Code authorities can hold a person involuntarily if they present a danger to themselves or others. I will post more as I Come across the information. Many people should remember her from the hit FOX show “The OC”. It seems everything she went through on that show seems to be happening in real life unfortunately.

History Channels “Pawn Stars” First Review
July 15, 2009 at 6:03 pm , by TeVeGuy
The History Channel brings us another new show that will keep you entertained. “PAWN STAR$ “takes viewers inside the doors of the only family-run pawnshop in Las Vegas, where three generations of men from the Harrison family – grandfather, father and son – amusingly clash while running the business together. This family has lived and breathed the pawn business, using their sharp-eyed skills to carefully assess the value of items their colorful customers bring in, objects ranging from the obscure to the truly historic. Each episode of PAWN STAR$ features an array of quirky characters attempting to sell, purchase or pawn items. Everything and everyone has a story and it’s the Harrison family’s job to decipher fact from fiction, because in this business the customer isn’t always right. You have to know this show is going to be funny to watch with the type of people in Vegas that need money. “Pawn Stars” airs this Sunday, July 19th at 10pm ET. I’m definitely looking forward to this.
