History Channels “Pawn Stars” First Review

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

The History Channel brings us another new show that will keep you entertained. “PAWN STAR$ “takes viewers inside the doors of the only family-run pawnshop in Las Vegas, where three generations of men from the Harrison family grandfather, father and son amusingly clash while running the business together. This family has lived and breathed the pawn business, using their sharp-eyed skills to carefully assess the value of items their colorful customers bring in, objects ranging from the obscure to the truly historic. Each episode of PAWN STAR$ features an array of quirky characters attempting to sell, purchase or pawn items. Everything and everyone has a story and it’s the Harrison family’s job to decipher fact from fiction, because in this business the customer isn’t always right. You have to know this show is going to be funny to watch with the type of people in Vegas that need money. “Pawn Stars” airs this Sunday, July 19th at 10pm ET. I’m definitely looking forward to this.

Neil Patrick Harris to host The Emmy Awards show

Monday, July 13th, 2009

Neil Patrick Harris, most recently know as the star of TV comedy “How I Met Your Mother,” will host the primNeil_Patrick_Harris_Doogie_Howser_290x400e-time Emmy Awards in September, organizers said on Monday. Harris is best know, and will always be known to me as Doogie Howser. He is a great actor, and host as well. This guy has had one hell of a career in showbiz.

“We already knew Neil as a fantastic actor and performer, but after blowing everyone away as host of this year’s Tony Awards, we couldn’t think of anyone better to emcee the television industry’s biggest award show,” said Nina Tassler, president of CBS Entertainment which will air the show September 20.

‘Jon & Kate Plus 8′s’ Jon Gosselin, Hailey Glassman go public

Monday, July 13th, 2009

It appears that 32-year-old Jon Gosselin has turned in 23-year-old girlfriend Deanna Hummel for an even younger model, 22-year-old Hailey Glassman.

It must be Gosselin’s wife-in-nam6a00d83451b92469e201157106587f970c-800wie Kate’s turn to be with the kids, because according to several media reports, Gosselin was meeting with designer Christian Audigier in the South of France this weekend about working for Audigier’s Ed Hardy line of clothing.

Gosselin sports an Ed Hardy t-shirt in the photos, which is about on the same level as wearing a concert t-shirt to go see the actual band play.

Yeah, Jon, we’re sure Audigier has already seen you in all the photos circulating with you decked out head-to-toe in Ed Hardy gear. No need to sell him on it further.

For those not completely up-to-speed on all the characters involved in the Jon and Kate Gosselin marital drama: Glassman is the daughter of the doctor who performed a charity tummy tuck on Kate following the birth of the couple’s sextuplets. The Glassmans then became family friends of the Gosselins and — apparently — in Jon’s case more-than-friends.
