Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

keyart_resizedStarting August 12th on A&E Season 5 of Criss Angel MindFreak returns this 5 episodes.

World-renowned mystifier Criss Angel has thrilled millions of fans with his unique and daring demonstrations. Now, Criss is ready to amaze the world again with The Five Lives of Criss Angel, a five-part television event beginning August 12 on A&E. In each episode, Criss will attempt never-before-seen effects, often placing his own safety – even his life – on the line.
* White Death – Criss takes the “Buried Alive” escape attempt to an unprecedented level, adding the extra weight and freezing temperatures of snow and ice.
* Death Field – Criss attempts to safely traverse a field of live explosives, where the potential for serious injury, if not death, is extremely high.
* Terminal Velocity – Defying Newton’s Law of Gravity, Criss will stand nearly 250 feet above the Las Vegas strip, drop an object and be at the bottom in time to catch it.
* Mass Levitation – Criss takes levitation to new heights by levitating an entire Las Vegas crowd.
* Death Crash – Criss will be locked in one of five coffins, while a merciless, three-ton automobile will be employed to smash them to splinters, one at a time.

True Blood Reflections

Monday, July 27th, 2009

After just getting back from a well deserved vacation, and catching up on my shows I wanted to open up to get some opinions. Sundays True Blood episode was one of the better because it leaves you with so many open stories similar to FOX’s “24″. Just when you think you know whats going on you do, and you don’t. Shape shifters, vampires weird lady that vibrates like a bad acid trip. The fact you don’t know what’s going on with this show keeps me in. The question is how much paranormal can they throw into the story before people start to say it’s been done. So far the writers are very good about keeping things a secret. Please feel free to comment on what you think is going on with this show. The video attached is the Comic Con HBO Trailer of what’s to come for the 2nd season.

Discovery Channels “The Colony” Review

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009

the-colony-group250I have to admit the Discovery channel doesn’t cease to amaze me with their new shows. The show starts out with giving the group a shock to the system that would simulate the aftermath of a disaster. Imagine being drained emotionally, and physically for 30 hours with no sleep or food. Than you join a group of others like you except for their expertise in their real like fields. Next the group gets to salvage an abandoned store for supplies for 15 min, and then make their way to a sanctuary. Over the weeks to come the group will have to endure real life post apocalyptic situations. They will have to deal with savage gangs, and limited supplies. Over all the idea, and premise of the show is great. A lot  people can learn from this show on how to survive God forbid anything bad would happen to the world. The show airs every Tuesday at 10 E/P.

FOX’s “Hells Kitchen” Returns Tonight

Tuesday, July 21st, 2009

Just a friendly reminder season 6 of FOX’s “Hells Kitchen” returns tonight with a 2 hour premiere. If you haven’t seen this show you have no clue what your missing. As entertaining as it is to watch how Gordon Ramsay molds these chefs by beating them down first it’s also great to see a great chef win a great prize.

“Futurama” to return without Original Voices!!!

Saturday, July 18th, 2009

1235611417_geek-tv-futuramaAwhile back I posted that Futurama would be back again, but this time on Comedy Central. According to Variety, Fox TV — which produces the show — has broken off talks with Futurama‘s original mouthpieces and has put out an open casting call in search of other actors to replace them. The issue is, of course, money. The new round of Futurama is scheduled to air on Comedy Central with a much lower budget than the original run (which aired on Fox), forcing Fox TV to cut costs where it can.

“We love the Futurama voice performers and absolutely wanted to use them, but unfortunately, we could not meet their salary demands,” 20th Century Fox TV said in a statement to Variety. “While replacing these talented actors will be difficult, the show must go on. We are confident that we will find terrific new performers to give voice to Matt (Groening) and David (X. Cohen)’s brilliantly subversive characters.”

It wouldn’t be the same without John DiMaggio doing benders voice, or Katey Sagal doing Leela’s voice. Changing The way Bender sounds would ruin the comeback.

Varietysays the cast members were asking for $75,000 per episode — more than $300,000 less than what The Simpsons Cast Makes. However, we’re hoping that Fox is just playing hardball, and — fingers crossed — a deal will be reached.

Actress “Mischa Barton” Involuntary psychiatric hold?

Thursday, July 16th, 2009

The Los Angeles Police Department has put Mischa Barton barton-mischa-photo-xxl-mischa-barton-6234088(FOX’s “The OC”) under Involuntary psychiatric hold just like they did for Britney Spears. Mischa was transferred to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Wednesday evening. According to Access Hollywood who broke the story authorities had responded to the Los Angeles home of the starlet after receiving a non-911 call from her residence around 3 PM. A patrol car responded to the scene and began assisting Barton with a medical issue. Under Section 5150 of the California Welfare and Institutions Code authorities can hold a person involuntarily if they present a danger to themselves or others. I will post more as I Come across the information. Many people should remember her from the hit FOX show “The OC”. It seems everything she went through on that show seems to be happening in real life unfortunately.
