The 4400 News

Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006

“The 4400″ now in it’s third season continues to bring in ratings for the USA network. The writers on that show know how to twist a story in any direction. The ratings are down a little, but enough to keep the show going. This show is thankfully picked up again for a 4th season. The season 3 finale airs this Sunday. Billy Campbell, who if you don’t know plays Jordan Collier on the show who’s character just came back this season after disappearing after his death in the previous season. Campbell is also a executive producer on the show if you didn’t know. Like I say time and time again shows can go any direction they want, and this show throws it in your face, and still gets the ratings. Its one of my favorite cable shows out there.

Last nights Fall season ratings for FOX

Tuesday, August 22nd, 2006

FOX’s “Prison Break” season 2 and the new drama “Vanished” premiered last night, and “Vanished” will rerun on FOX tonight if you missed it. “Prison Break” had 9.3 million viewers and 3.7 rating/12 share in the adults 18-49 demographic, according to preliminary estimates from Nielsen Media Research. That number is down from last years 2 hour premier of “Prison Break” which got 10.5 last year. I think a lot of people didn’t know the new season started for it and that’s why it was down. Remember I tell you all when shows start up and when DVD’s come out, and if I don’t list it you know to email me and I will tell you. I don’t have the ratings for “Vanished”, but I assume it didn’t do to good.

Stargate near the end of a wormhole

Tuesday, August 22nd, 2006

Its amazing that the SCI-Fi channel’s show “Stargate SG-1″ is in its tenth season. “Stargate SG-1″ is the longest-running science-fiction series ever produced for American T.V.. The show just reached it’s 200th episode, but don’t expect more than that. The final episodes of this amazing show will air early next year. It’s spin off counter part though “Stargate Atlantis” is picked up for yet another season. The network was and is proud of SG-1, but its focus now will be on Atlantis which is fine for me.

Raines (NBC) review

Thursday, August 17th, 2006

You would think that some actors can’t play some roles like Ed O’Neal doing Dragnet. But Jeff Goldblum and Luis Guzman can do it well in this show. You know them cause they are funny, but they can take on serious roles. This is the third show I’ve been able to see before it aired, and it blows my mind what plots and people can do. What seems funny to me is that shows like this and CBS’s “Medium” think that drinking gets rid of the dead people talking to you, and in most cases you’d think it’s the other way around. It was a surprise to see FOX’s “Mad TV’s” ex actress Nicole Sullivan on the show, but seeing some of the actors I guess it all fits. At first you don’t know where Luis Guzman’s character fits in to all of this, meaning you don’t know who he is or who he works for, but you do figure that out. The show keeps you hanging on cause you want to know what happened and what will happen. The show goes into it like you know what’s up, but you really have to watch to get the answers. The show keeps throwing you off, and that’s what makes this show interesting. This show is original in it’s own way cause you keep guessing its not the same old predictable plot you normally see. In my opinion this show takes you where they want you to go, and that’s a good thing. “Raines” will air on NBC January the 7th.
