Changes for you favorite shows on FOX

Wednesday, November 30th, 2005

FOX is making some changes to Thursday, moving comedies “That ’70s Show” and “Stacked” into the 9 p.m. hour following “The O.C.” as of March 2. The shows will face a tough road there opposite CBS’ powerhouse “CSI” and NBC’s “The Apprentice.”
In a change from the plan it announced last spring, FOX will keep “House” at 9 p.m. Tuesdays. The show has proven to be a strong performer on its own this fall, and its ratings will likely get a further boost by airing after the Tuesday “Idol.”
First-year drama “Bones,” meanwhile, will move from Tuesday to 9 p.m. Wednesday — opposite ABC’s “Lost” — starting Jan. 25. The Wednesday “Idol” will stay at 8 p.m. for the audition/field-narrowing phase, then move to 9 p.m. in the spring. The network hasn’t finalized its Wednesday plans for when that occurs.
Finally, the network has also set a return date for “Prison Break”: A repeat of Monday’s (Nov. 28) “fall finale” will air Monday, March 13, and new episodes will be paired with “24″ starting the following week.

EJ’s Predictions

Monday, November 28th, 2005

I predict that Comedy Central will pick up reruns and hopefully new seasons of FOX’s show “Arrested Development”. The third season of the show was cut back to 13 episode commitment compared to like 22 eps. The show has dropped in ratings since its move to Monday nights I wonder why. I also predict CBS’s Threshold will be picked up for a new season on the SCI-Fi Channel. CBS only has one other good show which I wont mention cause it steals ratings from other great shows. But its so funny how cable networks swoop in and pick up these shows. You know why, its because they know what to do with them. They end up doing better on cable than on normal network TV stations. Something is wrong with the presidents of these networks to let good shows go. So there you have it, that’s what I think will happen. Don’t forget I was right about my fall pics for this year besides 2 that has failed cause of the networks.

The new season will consist of 10 episodes where in Paris and Nicole will take turns running a family’s household. The family will than decide which girl did a better job at it. The new season of the show is subtitled “Till Death Do Us Part”.

Stargate Atlantis fans

Sunday, November 27th, 2005

If you thought the show was canceled don’t worry. It is just on hiatus. Episode 11 of season 2 will air January the 6th. Which is actually part 2 of the previous episode. This episode has already been aired in Canada. After seeing it for myself it continues right where it left off. I can’t write too much about without ruining it so I will just say I hope this show never ends. This show surpasses its counter part stargate sg1. The stories and aliens are much better. And if you haven’t seen the show yet you can go pick up season 1 in stores now.

Lifetime buys rights for reruns of NBC’s Medium

Sunday, November 27th, 2005

It is said that they will pay 1.3 million per episode. The reruns won’t begin on lifetime untill 2009.”We think this smart and absorbing drama depicting a woman in all of the complexity of her life, juggling a normal family with an extremely unusual line of work, will resonate strongly with our audience and make an outstanding addition to our schedule,” said Susanne Daniels, Lifetime’s newly appointed entertainment president

CBS takes Threshold off the air

Friday, November 25th, 2005

CBS has decided after airing it for the first time on Tuesday instead of Fridays to pull it off the schedule. They say its temporary, but a lack in ratings could lead to cancellation. It is an amazing show and much better than Invasion, but the network that airs it is the worst in the world. Its funny when networks move shows and they think that it will help, but it doesn’t. Then they get this great idea to pull it off the air as if people will come back to watch it along with more viewers than before. These people don’t have brains and it is their fault why good shows fail.

A show I’ve been waiting for on DVD

Tuesday, November 22nd, 2005

Season one of “Gimme a Break” will be in stores February 14th. This show was a classic growing up for me along with other shows from the 80′s and early 90′s. If you haven’t seen this show then you have missed something great in TV history.

Fox’s 24 has expanded its ensemble for its fifth season, set to debut January 15, with the addition of Julian Sands, former Robocop Peter Weller, and JoBeth Williams. Sands will play billionaire bad guy Vladimir Bierko, while Weller will portray veteran federal agent Christopher Henderson, who recruited Jack Bauer, the lead character played by Kiefer Sutherland, into the counterterrorism unit more than a decade ago. Williams will play Henderson’s wife. Jean Smart (“Frasier,” “Munich”) will play the first lady, and Sean Astin (“The Lord of the Rings”) has joined the CTU team. The show picks up 18 months after what happened last season. And don’t forget 2 hour premirie on Sunday January 15th than 2 hours on Monday the 16th.
