Futurama news

Friday, October 28th, 2005

You can still catch reruns of the FOX cartoon “Futurama” on the cartoon network until 2008 when it will than began showing on Comedy Central. The Cartoon networks rights to the show end in 2008, so Comedy Central has to wait till than. Its funny how canceled FOX shows always do better on other networks especially cable.

Video Games not just in the movies now

Wednesday, October 26th, 2005

FOX and a writer from “King of the Hill” have made a deal with the game maker THQ to adapt its title “Destroy All Humans” as a computer-animated half-hour series. The show, like the game, would follow the exploits of an alien named Crypto and poke fun at the conventions of Cold War-era science fiction. No word yet on an official date and time, but you can be sure I will post that info.

Drew Carey fans

Tuesday, October 25th, 2005

Drew Carey had a funny new show on the WB for a short time period called “Drew Carey’s Green Screen Show”. Well Comedy Central has picked it up and began showing new episodes. So if you were sad to see a show so funny and short lived die, don’t worry cause other networks will buy them. Don’t forget Reno.911 was owned by FOX before Comedy Central bought it.

Attention Stargate fans

Monday, October 24th, 2005

Both “Stargate SG-1″ and “Stargate Atlantis” have been picked up for a full season plus another season after this one ends. As long as the ratings do well or increase we will continue to see new episodes of both shows. Fridays are a good night for the Sci-Fi channel.

Something to Kill your time till Halloween

Saturday, October 22nd, 2005

ABC is doing something called 13 nights of Halloween. They will have movies and stuff, but what I will be watching which I think will be good is called “Scariest Places on Earth”. The show started today from 2pm-9pm. It will air again at 1:00 am. Tomorrow the 23rd it will be on again from 2pm-9pm and than at 11 pm. Than on Saturday the 29th at 12:30 there will be a marathon. Than on the 30th it will be on at 10:30. And on my favorite holiday the 31st it will air at 8 and 9pm. I will be posting more things for the Halloween mood for you all to watch.

Another New fall show picked up for a Full Season

Saturday, October 22nd, 2005

The new hour long drama “Invasion” on ABC has been picked up for a full season. Through five weeks, the show is averaging 12.6 million viewers and a 5.2 rating in the key ad-sales demographic of adults 18-49; the latter figure is the best for a new drama this season. It seems all my picks for my fall favorites are all getting picked up for full season and possibly more. I guess I know what im doing here.

Ashton’s New show to air on FOX

Tuesday, October 18th, 2005

As you may or not know Ashton Kutcher is everywhere nowadays. First with the hit “That 70′s show”, than “Punk’d”, his movies, and producing the show “Beauty and the Geek”. Well here comes another show Ashton will produce. He is producing a sitcom pilot about a man who marries an older woman. Ironic isn’t it. Fox has made a pilot commitment to the show, tentatively titled 30-Year-Old Grandpa. Holly Hester (The Drew Carey Show) is writing the script, which centers on a young man whose marriage makes him stepfather to kids who are almost as old as he is. Set in Chicago rather than Hollywood, the sitcom is not likely to directly reflect Kutcher’s marriage to actress Demi Moore. I can’t wait to see this one. I will give an air date and time for this show at a later time.

TV news

Monday, October 17th, 2005

As you know I’ve been posting shows that have got picked up for a full season. Well the next new show to get a deal for a full season is NBC’s new Drama “Surface”. By the way the original title was going to be called Fathom. And in the Unaired Pilot that is the title of the show. Surface is one of several sci-fi shows that have aired this season in the wake of ABC’s mega-hit Lost. Other new sci-fi/horror series include Threshold, Invasion, and a remake of the 1970s paranormal series Night Stalker.
