Another celebrity reality show

Wednesday, August 17th, 2005

Well yesterday another new reality show was born on the NBC network. Tommy Lee goes to College. NBC showed episodes one & two last night. I can’t give a review on it because I did not watch it, nor did I want too. Well if your interested in his antics you can tune in to NBC on Tuesdays to watch his show. What I want to know how many more reality shows about famous people will there be. I think the public should choose since we are the ones that would tune in. So tell me what you think. Post a comment telling me who you’d like to see a reality show on. Really think who would be interesting to watch.

What ever happened to the real MTV

Wednesday, August 10th, 2005

Not to diss the notorious network, but back in the 90′s it was all about the music on MTV. Of course we had some, and I repeat some TV shows, but Beavis and Butthead were classic. Most of the day was all about the music. Then something happened to them over there. Year by year more and more shows ended up on the network and less and less music videos were showing. Than MTV created MTV2, and at first they showed music on their, but guess what its turning to the same thing. They are even showing reruns. Don’t get me wrong I like Punk’d and Damage Control, I even Used to like the real word and road rules, but its not the same network kids need anymore. We have enough crappy reality shows, but music is something you can’t just put on the side. The network used to be all about the music. Now its just about money, getting people to tune in to TV shows. And believe it or not other Cable networks are doing the same thing now. The networks are leaving behind their original intentions with the network and changing to compete with all the others. But if ever channel has just TV shows the music just goes away. I love the arts, and as much as I love TV and I know TV, I would hate to see music videos go away from the networks that should be airing them like they had set out to do. If everything ends up the same, people will turn away and get sick of tv. Than the networks will change again. Its a non stop circle for the networks. But to get them from changing we have to give the ratings. Now a days time is hard to come by. That’s why we have vcrs, and tivos. My point is that if you love something enough never let go and make sure they know how much you love that thing. Cause once change happens you will change too and move on from what you love.

2005 Emmy Nominations for TV shows

Saturday, August 6th, 2005

For Outstanding Animated Program, “Family Guy” was nominated. Who thought the DVD sales would bring the show from cancellation to a 4th season. It will be interesting to see how they do up against “The Simpsons“. Well for Outstanding Art Direction for a Multi-Camera Series I’m proud to say “That 70s Show” was nominated along with “George Lopez“, “Two and a Half Men“, and “Will & Grace“. If “That 70s show” doesn’t win you can believe that the Emmys are rigged. Sad to say I can’t believe “American Idol” was nominated for Outstanding Art Direction For A Variety, Music Program, Or Special. Well for Outstanding Casting for a Drama I’m happy to say two of my shows will go head to head which are “House m.d” and “Lost“. Even though I love “House” I know “Lost” will win. For Best ComedyArrested Development” was nominated. For Best Drama it will be between “Lost“, and “24“. If you want a full list of shows that have been nominated you can go to www.Emmys.com
